This is a rare salesman sample trunk, these ladies are hard to find. The reason, most of these were most likely given the salemans children to play with, or they were destroyed once new models came in. This little lady is in excellent condition with no cracks or damage in any way. Originally the canvas was painted brown, but we wanted to liven her up some and give her a nice off white color. There is no metal trim on this trunk, but the factory did paint it black to give an idea of what the real trunk would look like. She has a Corbin Cabinet lock on her with a working key. The trunk is covered with five oak slats running across the front, back and top. What makes this salesman trunk special is that she still has her original manufactures label intacked, along with her factory inventory number of 4967. The original insert tray had been lost of the years, so my buddy John Head built a new replacement for her. She would make a great gift or that someone special in your life.
